My work can be found at TeenVogue.com, SELF.com, GOOD.com, Parade and others.

Committed to sharing the art and craft of writing, I also lead creative writing workshops. I am certified through the Amherst Writers & Artists method which asserts that "a writer is someone who writes" (William Stafford). Degrees are great, (I'm working on another one, in fact!) but writing belongs to anyone who wants it. To learn more about or to join an upcoming workshop, click here.

I oversee workshops + programming at Rivendell Writers' Colony, a literary nonprofit in Sewanee, Tenn. dedicated to providing writers of all genres a quiet, contemplative space to create. In partnership with The Porch, Nashville's only independent center for writing, I lead creative writing workshops at Cumberland Heights, a local drug and alcohol treatment center.

I am an MFA candidate with a concentration in nonfiction writing at the University of the South's Sewanee School of Letters.

I am based in Nashville, Tennessee.
